Overview
- Through Advertisement No. 07 of 2024-25, the commission announced the prelims date and said the detailed programme, centre allotments and instructions will be posted later on opsc.gov.in.
- The preliminary test will consist of two compulsory objective papers, each carrying 200 marks with four-choice multiple‑choice questions.
- Responses will attract negative marking of one‑third of the question’s marks for each incorrect answer, with some items using inbuilt differential scoring for more or less appropriate options.
- Appearing in both prelim papers is mandatory for evaluation, and absence from either paper will result in disqualification.
- Document verification and personality tests for 806 provisionally qualified OCS Main 2023 candidates will be held September 6–18, 2025 (excluding September 13) at the OPSC office in Cuttack, and candidates must present original documents with self‑attested copies or risk rejection.
