'Oppenheimer' and 'Killers of the Flower Moon' Lead AARP Movies for Grownups Awards Nominations

The awards, promoting films for an audience over 50, also recognize 'Barbie', 'The Color Purple', and 'Maestro' in the Best Picture category.

Christopher Nolan’s 'Oppenheimer' leads the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards nominations with six mentions, followed by Martin Scorsese’s 'Killers of the Flower Moon' with five.
Both films will compete for Best Picture alongside 'Barbie', 'The Color Purple' and 'Maestro'.
The Best Actress category includes Annette Bening, Juliette Binoche, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Helen Mirren and Julia Roberts, while the Best Actor category includes Nicolas Cage, Colman Domingo, Paul Giamatti, Anthony Hopkins and Jeffrey Wright.
In the television categories, 'The Bear', 'Only Murders in the Building', 'Succession' and 'The White Lotus' received two nominations each.
The AARP Movies for Grownups Awards were established in 2001 to promote films for an audience over 50, with more than half of the nominees over the years going on to receive Oscar Best Picture nominations.
