  • In West Nipissing, officers responded around 1:20 a.m. Friday to a single-vehicle crash on Kirkpatrick Road involving a novice driver.
  • Jeremy Leavens-Goulais, 22, suffered minor injuries, was taken to hospital, and was charged with impaired driving over 80 mg, novice BAC above zero, and a seatbelt offence.
  • He received a 90‑day licence suspension, a seven‑day vehicle impound, and a Feb. 5 court date in North Bay.
  • In Kingston on Jan. 18 shortly after 9 p.m., Frontenac OPP stopped a vehicle on Road 38 near Van Order Drive for erratic driving and found open alcohol.
  • Robin Prest, 34, was charged with operation while impaired, BAC 80 plus, and failing to surrender a driver’s licence, received a 90‑day suspension and seven‑day impound, and is due in court March 17 in Kingston.
