Overview

  • Crime along Roosevelt Avenue from 74th to 111th Streets fell 28 percent since October 2024 under Operation Restore Roosevelt.
  • Federal prosecutors have indicted eight members of the 18th Street Gang on charges including racketeering, narcotics and firearms trafficking.
  • The NYPD logged more than 2,500 arrests, issued over 27,000 summonses and confiscated 877 vehicles as part of the eight-month crackdown.
  • Year-to-date figures show a 48 percent drop in burglaries, a 29.4 percent decline in grand larceny, a 28.2 percent reduction in felony assaults and a 26.6 percent fall in robberies.
