OpenSea Feeds Live Cross-Chain Market Data Into Perplexity Computer

Perplexity can now return cited, multi-step answers drawn from real onchain trades; OpenSea is making its marketplace signals available to outside AI products.

Overview

  • OpenSea and Perplexity launched a live connector that is available now on Perplexity Computer’s Connectors page and links OpenSea’s marketplace feed to Perplexity’s AI agent.
  • The integration gives Perplexity access to OpenSea’s live trading activity across more than 25 blockchains, covering fungible tokens, NFTs and collectibles.
  • Perplexity’s agent can use the connector to run multi-step queries and cite exact marketplace signals when users ask which assets are trading most or attracting collectors.
  • OpenSea CEO Devin Finzer said onchain markets are well suited to agents because the data is open and verifiable, and Perplexity’s Jeff Grimes said the feed lets answers reflect current market moves.
  • The deal fits OpenSea’s push beyond an NFT marketplace toward a broader trading platform and could change how traders and collectors find momentum by letting third-party AI surface verifiable, real-time market signals.
