- OpenAI announced ChatGPT Space at DevDay on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, presenting it as a replacement for the old Library and a central place for pages, folders, files, and subpages.
- Spaces let users create editable Pages that combine text, images, code blocks, checklists, and uploaded files while keeping ChatGPT available on the same canvas for edits and suggestions.
- Real-time collaboration is supported so multiple people can edit Pages together and share either single Pages or whole Spaces with controlled access settings.
- ChatGPT Space is available now on the web and desktop for Pro, Business, and Enterprise accounts while mobile users can read, search, and share Pages but cannot edit them at launch.
