Overview

  • On June 3, OpenAI launched the next phase of its AI for Impact Accelerator in India, awarding $150,000 in API credits to 11 mission-driven nonprofits.
  • The cohort, featuring Rocket Learning, Noora Health and Educate Girls, will deploy AI tools to tackle challenges in healthcare, education, agriculture, disability inclusion and gender equity.
  • Now housed under OpenAI Academy and aligned with India’s AI Mission, the initiative aims to democratise cutting-edge AI and tailor solutions to local social and economic needs.
  • Partners The Agency Fund, Tech4Dev and Turn.io supply technical guidance and peer-learning opportunities while granting early access to OpenAI’s latest models.
  • In early June, OpenAI hosted an India workshop to showcase its newest AI capabilities and guide organisations in designing scalable, population-level solutions.
