OpenAI Expands Codex With Six Enterprise Plugins and Sites Preview

The update aims to make developer-grade automation available to business teams by converting analysis and plans into shareable, interactive web apps.

Overview

  • OpenAI announced on June 3, 2026 that it added six role-specific Codex plugins for sales, data analysis, creative content, product design, public equity investing, and investment banking.
  • The company said the new plugin bundle covers 62 applications and 110 skills to automate tasks like report generation, prototype creation, marketing asset production, and deal materials.
  • Plugins link Codex to popular enterprise and creative tools such as Snowflake, Databricks Genie, Hex, Tableau, Figma, Shutterstock, Picsart, Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, and Outreach to let teams query data, build dashboards, and generate assets inside familiar apps.
  • OpenAI also launched a preview of Sites and expanded annotation tools for Business and Enterprise subscribers so users can turn documents, spreadsheets, and slide analysis into hosted interactive dashboards, review spaces, planners, galleries, and light web apps.
  • OpenAI plans to embed Codex features into all ChatGPT apps in the coming weeks, a staged rollout meant to expose these workplace capabilities to the wider ChatGPT user base as non-developer usage of Codex grows rapidly.
