OpenAI CEO Sam Altman Denies Sister’s Sexual Abuse Allegations in Lawsuit

Ann Altman has filed a federal lawsuit claiming years of sexual abuse by her brother, allegations which Sam Altman and their family have strongly denied, attributing them to mental health struggles.

Ann Altman, 30, has accused her brother Sam Altman of sexually abusing her from 1997 to 2006, starting when she was 3 years old and he was 12.
The lawsuit, filed in Missouri federal court, alleges repeated acts of rape, molestation, and assault, with the last alleged incidents occurring when Sam Altman was an adult and Ann was still a minor.
Sam Altman, alongside his mother and two brothers, issued a joint statement denying the claims, calling them “utterly untrue” and expressing concern for Ann’s mental health.
The Altman family stated they have provided financial and emotional support to Ann over the years, including paying her bills and offering to buy her a house, but claim she has continued to demand more money.
Ann Altman’s lawyer has countered that her allegations are credible and unrelated to her mental health, seeking damages exceeding $75,000 and punitive damages based on Sam Altman’s net worth.
