The 15th edition centers on civic engagement by spotlighting community-serving sites across the city.

Overview

  • The free Chicago Architecture Center festival runs Oct. 18–19 across 25 neighborhoods with more than 200 locations, including 30 new sites.
  • Curators broaden the focus beyond traditional landmarks to include public housing, indoor farming and adaptive reuse, with highlights such as the National Public Housing Museum, the Aspire Center and Electrical Audio.
  • Hilliard Towers Apartments debuts with access to a 16th‑floor rooftop and amphitheater performances scheduled every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Four Star Mushrooms in the West Loop offers a look inside its 11,000‑square‑foot facility, where visitors can see indoor cultivation and learn about urban agriculture.
  • To improve wayfinding and amenities, organizers added neighborhood headquarters at the Ramova Theatre, KOVAL Distillery and Starling by Duo, and they confirmed a late roster change removing Morning Star Baptist Church.
