Opel Reveals Mokka GSE, Its First Electric Sports SUV

Drawing on rally-derived powertrain and chassis systems, Opel’s first GSE-labeled electric sports SUV will debut at IAA Mobility in Munich in September 2025.

Overview

  • Opel has officially revealed the Mokka GSE, marking its first street-legal electric sports SUV under the new Grand Sport Electric (GSE) label.
  • It inherits all high-voltage components from the Mokka GSE Rally concept, including a Torsen limited-slip differential and dual hydraulic dampers for enhanced traction and handling.
  • The front-axle electric motor produces 207 kW (280 PS) and 345 Nm of torque, delivering a 0-100 km/h time of 5.9 seconds and a 200 km/h top speed in Sport mode.
  • Drivers can switch between Sport, Normal and Eco modes with outputs from 207 kW down to 140 kW and a WLTP range of up to 336 km from its 54 kWh battery.
  • The Mokka GSE is set to debut at IAA Mobility Munich in September 2025, with pricing and market launch details to follow.
