ONPE Starts Objections Window, Confirms Training Dates for 2026 Polling-Table Members

The agency is processing tachas to staff expanded nine-person tables that aim to prevent delays.

Overview

  • After publishing the 834,660-name lists and activating the DNI lookup, ONPE is receiving tachas within three business days of each provisional list, with ODPE intake, JEE rulings, and appeals to the JNE.
  • For Peruvians abroad, consulates receive and decide tachas with next‑day, inapelable resolutions that are communicated to ONPE.
  • Training will be blended: the ONPEduca platform opens on February 26, with nationwide in‑person sessions on March 29 and April 5 at voting sites.
  • Each mesa will have three titulares and six suplentes; all must report at 6:00 a.m. for voting from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Members who complete the full day— including replacements called from the queue—receive S/165 and a day off, while noncompliance brings a S/275 fine; ONPE warns the count could add 6–8 hours, stretching work close to 20 hours.
