ONPE Sets Jan. 29 Public Draw to Select Poll Workers for Peru’s 2026 Elections

The public draw is followed by a challenge window plus a DNI lookup platform for designated citizens.

Overview

  • Each polling table will have three principal members and six alternates to secure on-time setup at 6:00 a.m., with voting from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • After the draw, ONPE will release a preliminary list and open a formal period for objections or justified excuses before issuing the final roster.
  • Media cite differing dates for the definitive list—February 11 versus February 18—pending clarification from ONPE.
  • Designated poll workers who complete their duties will receive 3% of the UIT (about S/165) and are entitled to a paid day off within 90 days, while unjustified absence can lead to fines.
  • Mandatory training for designated members begins up to 45 days before election day, with in-person and virtual options.
