ONPE Opens Registration for Poll Workers to Choose S/165 Payment

The portal lets chosen table members validate their data, pick a payment method or opt for in-person collection, reminding them to complete scheduled training.

Overview

  • The ONPE opened the online registration portal on Thursday so the 809,415 citizens drawn as members of voting tables can confirm their details and register to receive the S/165 compensation.
  • The S/165 payment equals 3% of the 2026 UIT and will be paid only to those who serve as president, secretary or third member and take part in installation, voting and vote counting.
  • Registrants can choose deposit to a BCP, BBVA or Scotiabank savings account, a deposit to the Yape wallet, or in-person collection at Banco de la Nación.
  • Those who do not register online or who serve without having been drawn will still receive S/165 but must collect it in person at a Banco de la Nación branch.
  • ONPE begins virtual training on ONPEduca on September 5 with in-person sessions on September 20 and 27, and the law makes the post irrenunciable with a S/275 fine for absence on election day plus a paid day off for trained workers.
