OnlyFans Model Faces Murder Charges in Client’s Fatal BDSM Session

Michaela Rylaarsdam, accused of causing Michael Dale’s asphyxiation during an April 2023 fetish session, denies placing a plastic bag over his head.

Michael Dale paid Michaela Rylaarsdam $11,000 for a BDSM session, during which he was wrapped in Saran Wrap and duct tape, with a plastic bag placed over his head, leading to his death by asphyxiation.
Investigators found no evidence that Dale requested the fatal act, and videos on Rylaarsdam’s phone showed him struggling to breathe before she called 911.
Rylaarsdam, an OnlyFans creator and mother of three, allegedly filmed content for her page while Dale was incapacitated with the plastic bag and other restraints.
Her husband, Brandon Rylaarsdam, is alleged to have encouraged her to engage in fetish behavior for financial gain, including obtaining additional money from Dale.
Rylaarsdam, who denies placing the bag over Dale’s head, remains in custody without bail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 2025.
