Online Pharmacy Disapo Files for Insolvency

An administrator is evaluating the company’s 7,500 m² Heerlen logistics centre for sale after buyer talks collapsed.

Overview

  • Disapo’s German entity disapo.de Apotheke B.V. filed for insolvency in mid-September 2026 and the group’s China-focused unit, Disapo BA B.V., entered insolvency shortly afterward.
  • The company’s webshop remains online but customers in Germany can no longer place orders and listed products are not available for fulfillment.
  • The former owner MYA Health sought buyers in Germany and China before the filing, but talks reportedly fell apart shortly before completion while liabilities rose to about €2.2 million.
  • Insolvency administrator Thomas Caron is prioritizing the 7,500 square metre logistics centre in Heerlen as the main asset for potential investors or sale to cover debts.
  • Disapo grew from a 2004 mail-order pharmacy into a larger online business, was bought by Douglas in 2022 and sold to MYA Health in 2024 as staffing fell from about 200 to roughly 35 in the German unit and four in the China unit, leaving uncertain prospects of restructuring, sale, or liquidation for employees and creditors.
