Overview
- The Upton Fire Department was dispatched around 8:45 a.m. to the 14700 block of South Dixie Highway after reports of a camper fire.
- While en route, officials were notified that a person was inside the camper.
- Crews arrived within five minutes to find the camper fully engulfed and brought the fire under control in about 15 minutes.
- One person was found inside and pronounced dead at the scene, and the victim has not yet been identified.
- The Kentucky Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
