Overview
- The infant was found unresponsive around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in her family’s Queensbridge Houses apartment after the German Shepherd–Pit Bull mix puppy attacked her face while she slept between her parents.
- Officers from the 114th Precinct and EMS pronounced the one-month-old dead at the scene and secured the apartment at 41-01 12th St in Long Island City.
- The six-week-old puppy was removed from the home and is now in the custody of authorities pending the medical examiner’s review.
