One Killed in South Harding Street Crash Near I-465

Police have closed both directions between I-465 and Hanna Avenue during the on-scene investigation.

Overview

IMPD responded around 6:45 a.m. to the 4200 block of South Harding Street on the south side of Indianapolis.
Officers initially received a report of a personal-injury accident but determined the crash was fatal upon arrival.
At least one person was pronounced dead, according to police.
Northbound and southbound lanes are closed between I-465 and Hanna Avenue for the investigation.
The IMPD fatal crash team is processing the scene, and authorities have not released further details.
