• Emergency services reported a powerful explosion around 9:30 a.m. local time at the fireworks plant on Calle La Sierra, 24, in Redován (Alicante).
• Firefighters stabilized the resulting blaze at about 10:17 a.m. after deploying six crews from Orihuela and Almoradí with eight vehicles.
• Neighbors alerted 112 after hearing a loud bang, and the provincial fire consortium later confirmed one fatality.
