One Dead, Two Injured in East Village Triple Stabbing

A 30-year-old man is in custody following a violent attack on Manhattan's East 14th Street, leaving one dead and two others hospitalized.

The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. near Avenue A and East 14th Street.
The deceased, a 38-year-old man, was stabbed in the neck; a 52-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man were also injured.
All three victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where the 38-year-old was pronounced dead.
A 'cutting instrument' was recovered at the scene, but no charges have been filed yet.
Local officials call for increased NYPD presence and better street conditions to prevent further violence.
