Overview

• Emergency services were alerted shortly before 9:00 a.m. to the collision at around kilometer 12–12.5 of the Santiago–Noia corridor in the parish of Os Ánxeles, Brión.
• Officials identified the deceased as a 54-year-old man, listed by initials V. M.A., who was pronounced dead at the scene.
• One injured person was airlifted by a medicalized helicopter to Santiago’s Hospital Clínico Universitario (CHUS) and another was transported by road ambulance.
• Responders reported no occupants were trapped, despite one vehicle overturning on the carriageway.
• Traffic on the CG-1.5 was halted for rescue and cleanup operations, causing major congestion on a principal access route to Santiago.
