  • The collision occurred Saturday evening at Black Road and Magnolia Drive when a westbound Buick Regal veered into oncoming traffic.
  • The Regal first struck a Buick Encore driven by a 68-year-old Joliet woman before colliding with a Chevrolet Silverado.
  • The 57-year-old driver of the Regal died at St. Joseph Medical Center after being transported by the Joliet Fire Department.
  • The Encore’s driver and her 69-year-old passenger from Lake Station, Indiana, were both hospitalized in critical condition.
  • Investigators have not yet determined why the Regal crossed lanes and the Will County Coroner’s Office will rule on the cause and manner of death.
