One Dead, Several Wounded in Separate Louisville Shootings Over 24 Hours

Detectives urge public tips during ongoing investigations.

  • Police say three people were shot outside JJ's Food Mart on Dixie Highway in Algonquin around 8:45 p.m. Saturday, and a dark-colored vehicle opened fire before driving away.
  • The Algonquin victims — a 19-year-old man, a 41-year-old man, and a 67-year-old woman — were taken to a hospital and are expected to survive.
  • Just after 3:30 a.m. Saturday, two men with gunshot wounds walked into Baptist Health Louisville; investigators believe they were shot about 30 minutes earlier on the 4300 block of Kranet Way in Buechel near Norfolk Park, and both are expected to survive.
  • Early Sunday near Park Hill, officers found a woman in her late 30s with a gunshot wound to her arm at 13th and West Hill Street; she was taken to UofL Hospital and is expected to survive.
  • Late Sunday morning in Phoenix Hill, officers found a man believed to be 30 to 40 years old shot to death inside a vehicle on the 700 block of East Muhammad Ali Boulevard, and LMPD's Homicide Unit is leading that investigation while the Non-Fatal Shooting Unit handles the other cases; no arrests have been announced, and tips can be shared at 502-574-LMPD or through the LMPD Crime Tip Portal.
