Overview

- Both a 2011 Chevrolet Aveo and a 2015 Chevrolet Impala hit ice and struck a cable barrier, triggering secondary collisions.
- The Aveo slid back on its side into traffic and was hit on the roof by a 2018 Ford F-150, killing the 34-year-old Pontiac driver at the scene.
- The Impala was rear-ended by a 2004 Dodge Dakota, and three additional vehicles crashed while trying to avoid the initial wrecks.
