Overview

• The crash was reported at 3:33 p.m. on the southbound toll lanes at the State Route 163 merger in the Miramar area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
• CHP said the collision involved a motorcycle and two other vehicles.
• Officers stopped traffic at Miramar Way and closed the HOV/toll transition to SR-163 during a search for the motorcycle, which was found at the end of the connector approaching SR-163.
• Caltrans reported the southbound connector reopened to traffic shortly after 6 p.m.
• No arrests were immediately reported, and a witness told CHP a white Mustang was on the right shoulder and a black BMW was in the center divider.
