One Dead, Four Missing After Charter Boat Overturns Off Alaska

A charter boat carrying two vacationing couples and a fishing boat captain was found partially submerged off southeast Alaska over the weekend amid rough seas.
One person was found unresponsive in the water and later pronounced dead while the Coast Guard has suspended the search for the four missing people..
The Coast Guard is investigating the incident with the cooperation of the charter company, Kingfisher Charters.
The boat was last seen near Sitka and was found off an island about 10 miles west of Sitka.
Efforts to recover the vessel have been ongoing,with rough seas and strong winds hampering the recovery.
