Overview

- A 61-year-old man died after exiting a car and being struck; a woman who had also exited was thrown over a guardrail about 40 feet and hospitalized with major injuries.
- Fresno Fire reports at least 20 people were hurt with injuries ranging from minor to major, and responders used a city bus to transport several patients, including young children.
- Southbound lanes were closed for hours and fully reopened by about 1:30 a.m. Monday, and investigators are seeking witnesses at 559-262-0400.
