One Dead After Four-Vehicle Crash on Icy U.S. 24 Near Florissant
Investigators say a Dodge Ram slid on ice into oncoming traffic, initiating a four-vehicle collision.

- Colorado State Patrol says the crash occurred around 5:44 a.m. Monday near Mile Marker 270 just east of Florissant.
- A westbound Dodge Ram crossed into eastbound lanes and hit a Hyundai Elantra head-on, after which a Jeep Gladiator rear-ended the Hyundai and a Ford F-250 struck the Jeep and then the Hyundai off the shoulder.
- The Elantra’s driver was airlifted and later pronounced dead, while the Dodge driver was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
