Overview
- Uttar Pradesh opened a state-university Braille library at DSMNRU in Lucknow with more than 4,000 NEP-aligned titles across 54 courses, targeting 10,000 books this year.
- The UP facility includes a 150-seat reading room and membership access for users beyond the university, with special, casual and corporate options.
- Telangana announced plans to produce Braille textbooks for Intermediate and Degree courses, unveiled the State’s first Braille New Year calendar, and said 8,000 people will receive free assistive devices.
