OMCs Lift Commercial LPG Price by Rs 15.50 From October 1
Domestic LPG prices remain frozen under a government-backed stabilisation plan.
Overview
- The 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs Rs 1,595.50 in Delhi following the latest monthly revision.
- Revised commercial prices include Mumbai at Rs 1,547, Kolkata at Rs 1,700.50 and Chennai at Rs 1,754.50.
- There is no change to 14.2 kg domestic LPG, which has held steady since April 8 at Rs 853 in Delhi, Rs 868.50 in Chennai, Rs 879 in Kolkata and Rs 852.50 in Mumbai.
- Oil marketing companies make market-linked monthly adjustments, and this increase follows a Rs 51.50 cut for commercial cylinders on September 1.
- The change primarily affects businesses such as restaurants and hotels, while household cooking gas bills remain unchanged, supported by a Rs 30,000 crore compensation scheme to oil companies approved in August.
