Overview
- Touring Mehandi Kadal, Janglaat Mandi, Deva Colony and Ashajipora Bridge, the chief minister met affected families and assessed damage to homes, roads and public assets.
- He chaired a high-level review in Anantnag with the deputy chief minister, cabinet ministers, MLAs and district officials, directing priority restoration and uninterrupted essential supplies.
- Instructions included permanent restoration of Jal Shakti infrastructure, tighter coordination among PHE, PDD and R&B, and deployment of water tankers to the worst-hit localities.
- He ordered special teams to assess losses to households, farmland and horticulture, including stranded fruit-laden trucks, to prepare compensation proposals for the Government of India.
