Olympic Ice Dancing Champions Papadakis and Cizeron Announce Retirement

The French duo, who won Olympic gold in 2022 and five world titles, are stepping away after a 17-year career together.

Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron, aged 29 and 30 respectively, announced their retirement from competitive figure skating in a statement on Tuesday.
The pair's decorated career includes five world championships, five European titles, an Olympic gold medal in 2022, and a silver medal in 2018.
They had not competed since winning their fifth world title in Montpellier in 2022, following their Olympic triumph earlier that year.
The skaters cited immense gratitude for their career and acknowledged the contributions of their coaches, families, and supporters in their success.
Since taking a break in mid-2022, they had participated in global ice shows but ultimately decided to pursue separate paths moving forward.
