Olympic Champion Maggie Mac Neil Announces Retirement from Swimming

Mac Neil won gold in the 100-metre butterfly at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics and added silver and bronze in relay events.
She holds short-course world records in the 50m backstroke and 100m butterfly, set in 2022.
Mac Neil's five gold medals at the 2023 Pan American Games were the most by any Canadian athlete at a single Pan Am Games.
Born in China and adopted by Canadian parents, Mac Neil overcame sport-induced asthma to become a world champion.
