Overview
- Rodrigo posted an Instagram Story on Monday that includes a studio-session clip with a voice that sounds like Chappell Roan saying, "Ooh, Olivia does remixes now," which has been confirmed by multiple outlets.
- A JPC music‑retailer listing reported a special physical edition of Rodrigo’s song "Expectations" featuring Roan and gave a possible release date of Friday, October 16, but that retail entry remains unverified.
- Neither Olivia Rodrigo nor Chappell Roan has publicly confirmed the collaboration or the alleged release date, and Billboard has reached out to Rodrigo’s representatives for comment.
- Fans on X and other social platforms have quickly amplified the clip and the JPC report, turning speculation about a remix into trending conversation and calls to stream the track if it is released.
- The pairing is plausible given Roan’s past role as an opener on Rodrigo’s 2024 GUTS tour and both artists’ recent festival appearances, and the next signs to watch are an official announcement or updated retailer listings.
