Overview

  • Secihti set an official price band of 90,000–150,000 MXN for three Olinia models covering personal, neighborhood transit and last-mile delivery uses.
  • Olinia is developed by more than 100 experts from IPN, TecNM and UNAM as part of a national push for homegrown electromobility.
  • The national semiconductor center Kutsari, with sites in Puebla, Jalisco and Sonora, aims to deliver its first commercial chip this year and reach design capacity by 2027.
  • Waldo’s already offers imported Kiwo E5/E10 low-speed EVs at 79,999–99,999 MXN that run at 45–50 km/h and lack advanced safety structures.
  • Plans for manufacturing sites, public-private production arrangements and a charging network remain unresolved and could influence Olinia’s final cost and rollout schedule.
