The lawsuit asserts that Kiffin and Ole Miss didn’t support Rollins through his depression the way white and female athletes at the school receive support.
Rollins is seeking $40 million in damages - $10 million compensatory and $30 million punitive; his career has been hampered by injuries including a concussion and an Achilles tendon injury, contributing to his depression.
An exchange between Kiffin and Rollins was recorded and leaked; in it Kiffin is heard telling Rollins to 'go read your f---ing rights about mental health', insinuating the player could be kicked off the team.
