Overview
- Jazz Reid, 33, was sentenced to 38 years’ imprisonment for attempted murder, wounding and firearms offences after a series of west London shootings.
- The most serious attack on 24 November 2024 struck a 34-year-old man five times and an eight-year-old girl twice as they sat in a car in Golborne.
- The child has life-changing injuries with a bullet still in her body, and the man now requires round-the-clock care and may never walk again, the court heard.
- Police found a loaded pistol under a paving slab at Reid’s Uxbridge home, with his DNA on the weapon and on casings linked to earlier shots fired.
- Reid used a modified e-bike and a green delivery rucksack, discarded SIM cards and changed vehicles to evade detection, yet a jury convicted him on 6 November before Judge Sarah Whitehouse imposed sentence on 15 January.
