Old Bailey Hears Deliveroo-Disguise Allegations in London Triple Shooting Case

Jurors heard the case centers on DNA from a recovered pistol alongside tracking data said to link Jazz Reid to three planned attacks.

Overview

  • Prosecutors said a masked assailant posing as a Deliveroo rider fired 11 shots into a family car in Ladbroke Grove on November 24, wounding an eight-year-old girl and her father.
  • Michael Goodwin KC told the court the November 24 ambush was the third in a series after an October 9 shooting that injured Ameile Buncombe and a November 11 incident where four shots were fired at an address linked to the father.
  • Police recovered a 9mm pistol loaded with 17 rounds beneath a concrete slab outside Reid’s Uxbridge home, and jurors heard his DNA was found on the grip and muzzle with forensic links to the third shooting.
  • The prosecution alleges Reid used hire cars, stored an e-bike and delivery outfit at a Swinbrook Estate flat, and switched phones and SIMs, with CCTV and cell-site data tracking journeys and calls before each incident.
  • Reid, 33, was arrested on November 26 and has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, wounding with intent, and firearms offences, as the Old Bailey trial continues.
