Overview

  • Four new attractions—the Skylift observation tower, Happy Sailor ride, Montgolfière carousel and Geisterhöhle ghost train—will debut on the Theresienwiese.
  • Barrier-free measures now include rollstuhlgerechte gondolas, fully accessible streets 1, 2 and 3 plus publicly available maps of accessible routes and facilities.
  • About 160 vendors will accept bank and credit cards, the Armbrustschützen tent will pilot cashless payments and one smaller tent will operate exclusively on card transactions.
  • The standard Maß price has been set between €14.50 and €15.80, a 3.5 percent increase from last year, with ten free drinking fountains installed to offset rising costs.
  • A Munich-only seating quota of ten percent of tables on weekends has been established and the public music contest “A Liad für d’Wiesn” will name its winner in mid-September.
