Okami Sequel Announced with Original Director Hideki Kamiya at the Helm

Capcom and Clovers Studio reveal a long-awaited follow-up to the 2006 cult classic at The Game Awards 2024, marking Kamiya's return to the series after 18 years.

The sequel to Okami, a critically acclaimed 2006 action-adventure game, was announced at The Game Awards 2024 with a brief teaser trailer.
Hideki Kamiya, the original game's director, will lead the project through his new studio, Clovers, in collaboration with Capcom, M-Two Inc., and Machine Head Works.
The new game, currently untitled, will revisit the iconic Celestial Brush mechanic and painterly art style, updated for modern hardware.
Okami has grown in popularity since its initial release, gaining a dedicated fanbase through remasters and re-releases despite modest original sales.
