Oilers Acquire Connor Ingram From Utah for Future Considerations

Utah retained $800,000 to enable an immediate Bakersfield assignment.

Overview

  • Edmonton announced that the 28-year-old goaltender was assigned to the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors right after the trade.
  • Utah is retaining $800,000 of Ingram’s $1.95 million cap hit, leaving a roughly $1.15 million NHL charge upon any recall and no cap impact while he is in the AHL.
  • Ingram cleared waivers on Sept. 25, and Edmonton pursued a trade so salary could be retained and an AHL assignment could occur without re-exposing him to waivers.
  • He entered the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program on March 9 and was cleared to return on Aug. 20 after missing significant time last season.
  • Ingram went 9-8-4 with a 3.27 GAA and .882 save percentage in 22 Utah starts last season, won the 2024 Masterton Trophy after a 2023–24 breakout in Arizona, and is in the final year of his contract before UFA status.
