The Ohio High School Athletic Association has announced new divisional alignments for fall sports, aiming to create more balanced competition.

  • Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) has expanded the number of divisions in soccer and volleyball starting fall 2024.
  • The expansion includes moving boys and girls soccer from three to five divisions and girls volleyball from four to seven divisions.
  • The changes are designed to address enrollment disparities and enhance competitive balance across schools.
  • Member schools have the opportunity to vote in May on whether to allow schools to opt for competing in higher divisions.
  • Regional alignments and tournament qualifications have also been adjusted to accommodate the new divisions.
