Ohio Votes Today In Local Races as Polls Open 6:30 A.M.–7:30 P.M.

Voters must present a valid photo ID, with provisional ballots available for those who return to verify within four days.

Overview

  • Polls are open statewide from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and anyone in line at closing will still be able to vote.
  • Outstanding absentee ballots required a Nov. 3 postmark for mail return, while in-person returns are accepted only at county boards or their secure drop boxes until 7:30 p.m. today.
  • Ohio’s photo ID rule is in effect with driver’s licenses, state IDs, passports and specified military or VA IDs accepted, and voters without ID may cast a provisional ballot that counts if ID is shown to the board within four days.
  • The Secretary of State reports 399,918 early ballots statewide—136,867 by mail and 263,051 in person—with Cuyahoga County noting less than 6% turnout before today.
  • Ballots focus on local offices and levies, including Cincinnati’s mayoral race between Aftab Pureval and Cory Bowman, competitive contests in Cleveland, and tax measures in Franklin County.
