Overview

• Eligible residents can register online until 11:59 p.m. Oct. 6 or in person at local election boards until 9 p.m.
• To register, provide an Ohio driver’s license or ID number, your name, date of birth, address, and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
• Early in-person voting begins Oct. 7, with weekday hours expanding to evenings the week of Oct. 27 and weekend hours on Nov. 1–2.
• Absentee ballots start mailing Oct. 7, and applications must reach your board of elections by 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 28.
• Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3; Election Day is Nov. 4.
