Ohio State University Appoints New President After National Search

The Ohio State University has named Walter "Ted" Carter Jr. as its new president.
Carter is currently president of the University of Nebraska system and will take office on January 1.
He will succeed Kristina M. Johnson as OSU's 17th president.
Carter has experience in education leadership and military service as superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy.
The OSU Board of Trustees conducted a national search before appointing Carter without an interim president.
