• The AP Top 25 moved Ohio State to No. 1 with 55 of 66 first-place votes, followed by No. 2 Penn State, No. 3 LSU, No. 4 Georgia and No. 5 Miami, with Texas dropping to No. 7.
• The US LBM Coaches Poll also elevated Ohio State to No. 1 with 59 of 67 first-place votes, placing Penn State second, Georgia third, LSU fourth and Oregon fifth.
