Air Noland, a true freshman quarterback at Ohio State, has announced his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal less than a year after joining the program.
Noland was a highly rated recruit, ranked as the No. 4 quarterback and No. 56 overall player in the 2024 class by 247Sports' composite rankings.
The decision comes after fellow freshman Julian Sayin, a former five-star recruit, emerged as the frontrunner for the starting quarterback role following Nick Saban's retirement and Sayin's transfer to Ohio State.
Noland's departure adds to the reshuffling of Ohio State's quarterback room, which will now feature Sayin, Lincoln Kienholz, and incoming five-star freshman Tavien St. Clair for the 2025 season.
