Brown, a 4-star recruit in the 2022 class, played in nine games during the 2024 season, throwing for 331 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception over his career.
The decision to transfer comes as Brown seeks more playing time after serving as a backup to Kyle McCord in 2023 and Will Howard in 2024.
At Cal, Brown will compete for the starting quarterback position against incoming freshman Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele, another highly touted recruit who recently transferred from Oregon.
