Ohio officer fired after releasing K-9 on surrendering Black driver during traffic stop

The incident occurred after a vehicle pursuit on July 4 when Rose failed to stop his truck for an inspection.
Police body camera footage shows Speakman releasing the dog despite Rose kneeling with his hands raised.
Rose was treated for dog bites and initially charged with failure to comply before being released.
An investigation found that Speakman violated no policies, but he was terminated for not meeting department standards.
